Rave was a board game that was created by WOW Enterprises in 1991. It contains a section designed by Jamie Hewlett of Gorillaz/Tank Girl fame and went on to sell over 20,000 copies until it was withdrawn from the shelves by WHSmiths.

The idea of the game was to drive around looking for fliers and “energy” tablets. Once the player had accumulated enough tablets, they could then proceed to their rave and dance, until they collected all three sections of the WOW Tryptich. Other pieces included ‘Vibe Cards’, stash bags, a rave cassette and ‘rave site markers’.

WOW Enterprises are currently working on an MMORPG based around the game. More pictures and a link after the jump.
