Ensio Itkonen & Hannu Karpo, the Dynamic Duo of Finnish traffic education

Ensio “Enska” Itkonen, a Finnish driving instructor whose personal style with idiosyncratic quips made him a TV celebrity, has died at the age of 84. Itkonen’s traffic education TV shows in the 1970s and 80s, made in tandem with the legendary reporter Hannu Karpo (born 1942), gathered large audiences with their “edutainment” style raising public awareness on road safety.
